Project Full Stop also known as PFS is a student initiative that aims to promote menstrual equity, provide free period products, and end period stigma. PFS was founded by a group of 8th graders that started out by complaining about their periods. Eventually, they had to do something about it. So, they aimed to make period products free in their school. That's how we started PFS. In our first year of operation, we’ve put pads and tampons in all the girls bathrooms in our school for the convenience of all female students. We recognize that not all females have periods, and not everyone who has a period is female. But, as of our first your we've only put free menstrual products in the girls restrooms. In addition to this, we’ve started talking to administration within our school about normalizing periods and donating period products to other organizations such as local homeless shelters. There’s even more in store for the future- we hope to spread our project to other schools and to be able to donate even more products. However, our main goal is to reduce period stigma. This way, people can freely and comfortably ask questions about periods.
